Café Salween is a modern tribute to Myanmar’s culinary and cultural richness. Located in the heart of Yangon, we bring together tradition and innovation through specialty coffee, heritage cuisine, local desserts, and elevated hospitality.
Inspired by the Salween River (Than Lwin), one of Asia’s last wild rivers, we carry its spirit of creativity, flow, and resilience into everything we do.
Our Story
Café Salween was founded by a group of individuals with a deep appreciation for coffee, food, design, and culture. Inspired by a shared vision for thoughtful and consistent hospitality, we set out to create a space that brings together quality, comfort, and story. Café Salween is where mindful details come together to reflect both care and character, offering an experience that feels grounded, welcoming, and uniquely Myanmar.
Coffee Philosophy
At the heart of Café Salween is coffee. We proudly offer Yangon’s finest and most extensive coffee menu, ranging from espresso classics to single-origin pour-overs, cold brews, and innovative signature drinks. We are rooted in third wave coffee values — celebrating transparency, craftsmanship, and origin. Every cup is a collaboration between farmers, roasters, baristas, and you.
Food & Desserts
Our kitchen honors Myanmar’s culinary heritage with carefully prepared traditional dishes and handmade local desserts. Ingredients are thoughtfully sourced, flavors are honest, and presentation is clean and contemporary. Whether it’s a nostalgic childhood favorite or a subtle twist on a regional classic, we aim to serve food that is soulful and satisfying.
The Burmese Imperial Menu
Café Salween is proud to be the only place where you can experience the Burmese Imperial Menu — a rare collection of royal recipes preserved through generations. Developed in collaboration with culinary historians and descendants of Konbaung and Shan royal house, the menu revives time-honored techniques and ingredients in a way that’s elegant, respectful, and relevant for today.

By day, Café Salween is a calm and light-filled café — perfect for quiet work, casual meetings, or a thoughtful break. In the evening, the space transforms into a warm and ambient setting for conversation, cocktails, and elevated dining. It’s one place, with two distinct moods, designed to suit the rhythm of your day.
Salween 180: Cocktails & Wine
Our evening experience is led by Salween 180, the dedicated mixology and wine arm of Café Salween. Named after the river’s iconic southward turn, Salween 180 embodies exploration and refinement. We offer seasonal cocktails, house infusions, and a curated wine list that bridges Old World classics and New World discoveries. Each drink is designed with balance, storytelling, and craft in mind.
